Privacy Policy
Ear Trainer is a browser-based music practice tool. This policy explains what information is used to run the app and how users can ask questions about it.
Information the app stores
Guests can use the trainer without creating an account. Practice settings, score, streaks, selected exercises, theme, and recent results may be saved in the browser with localStorage so the app can remember progress on the same device.
If a user creates an account, Ear Trainer uses Firebase Authentication and Firestore to store account details such as email address, display name, profile photo data, practice statistics, streaks, and selected settings. This lets progress sync across devices.
Advertising and cookies
Ear Trainer may use Google AdSense to display ads. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads, limit repeated ads, measure ad performance, and personalize ads depending on user settings and applicable law.
Users can learn more about how Google uses information from sites and apps at Google's partner sites policy and can manage ad personalization at Google Ad Settings.
Third-party services
- Firebase Authentication and Firestore are used for optional accounts and synced progress.
- Google Fonts are used to load the site's typefaces.
- Google AdSense may be used to display advertising after approval.
